24-HOUR ACCESS & CRISIS INTERVENTION
Help is available now.
ReDiscover provides 24-hour telephone and/or
in-person screening, assessment and/or referrals for
mental health & substance abuse services. We work
with local police departments on Crisis Intervention
Training. We help law enforcement officers and
medical professionals manage persons with mental
illness or substance abuse dependency. Individuals,
family members or community organizations who need
Mental Health/Substance Abuse services or have
questions about mental illness and/or substance
dependency, call ReDiscover at 816-966-0900.
MENTAL HEALTH
Our focus is on wellness.
ReDiscover helps people who are struggling with
issues of mental illness find ways to increase
periods of personal wellness, enhance the quality of
daily lives, and take needed steps to meet
individual life goals.
AFS / Adult & Family Services
ReDiscover provides child, adult, and family
counseling by Licensed Professionals including
Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, and Nurses. Psychiatric
services are provided by MD or Advance Practice
Nurses who evaluates each client and, if needed,
prescribes and monitors medication. Case management
services support the client and family. Services
are provided at Lee's Summit site & South Kansas
City site.
CPRC / Comprehensive Psychiatric Rehabilitation
Services
For adults with chronic and severe mental illness,
ReDiscover provides counseling, case management,
medication management, support groups, vocational
rehabilitation, recreational therapy and money
management to adults with chronic mental illness
such as bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia, major
depression, and more.
PHP /
Partial
Hospital
Program
For adults in mental health crisis, ReDiscover
offers the only Partial Hospital program based in a
Missouri community mental health facility.
ReDiscover provides Acute Day Treatment for adults
in a structured setting, where clients can remain
close to family and friends. Therapeutic services
include comprehensive assessment, Psychiatric
evaluation, individualized treatment (in one-to-one
and/or group settings), medication management,
life-style education, 24-hour crisis intervention,
case management, and aftercare planning. Teams
consist of psychiatrist, registered nurse,
coordinator and master level therapists. PHP Program
is offered at the Lee's Summit site only.
Home-Based Interventions
For children with serious emotional disorders,
ReDiscover provides intensive in-home counseling,
case management services, and support for children
and their families.
School Based Services
For children with behavior disorders or mental
illness who are referred by local school counselors,
ReDiscover provides individual & group counseling,
case management & life skills groups. Family
counseling is also provided. Services are provided
for elementary, middle school, and high school
students in coordination with local school districts
in Lee's Summit, Grandview, Hickman Mill, Raytown &
Center School District & Hilltop Juvenile Detention
Center.
SUBSTANCE ABUSE
ReDiscover helps people who are struggling with
substance dependency.
Substance Abuse - Women & Children's Program
For women with children and pregnant women who have
substance abuse dependency, ReDiscover provides
substance abuse treatment in a residential setting
or outpatient program and offers childcare for the
children. This treatment includes comprehensive
assessment, individual and group counseling, family
counseling, treatment for co-occurring disorders,
case management, parenting skills, crisis support,
childcare, & transportation assistance.
Substance Abuse - Coed Program
For men and women who have substance dependency
including those with co-occurring disorders such as
mental illness and/or physical disability,
ReDiscover offers residential or outpatient
substance abuse treatment. The program includes
comprehensive assessment, individual and group
counseling, family counseling, treatment for
co-occurring disorders, case management, parenting
skills, crisis support, childcare, and
transportation assistance. Services are provided at
midtown Kansas City site.
Alt-Care
ReDiscover provides gender specific treatment for
women who are involved with Missouri Department of
Corrections: Probation & Parole. Alt-Care is one
of only two community health programs to contract
with the State of Missouri for Substance Abuse
services for women on probation. The outpatient
program includes comprehensive assessment,
individual and group counseling, family counseling,
treatment for co-occurring disorders, case
management, parenting skills, crisis support,
childcare, & transportation assistance. Women in the
Alt-Care program can bring their children under the
age of 12 to ReDiscover’s on-site child development
center. Services are provided at midtown Kansas
City site for women with substance abuse dependency
with a court order to participate in program.
