Our Mission
The mission of the Ambassadors of Hope is to provide help, hope, and healing for ReDiscover clients by creating awareness of available mental health services and by supplying clients with essential needs through our fundraising activities.
About The Ambassadors of Hope
The Ambassadors of Hope was founded in 1980 to support ReDiscover through advocacy, education, and fundraising. Since its inception, the Ambassadors have raised over $100,000 to help the organization in many ways.
Some of this money has gone to purchase needed equipment for clients and staff. Funds have been provided to help pay for services for those who can't afford them. Purchases include medication for clients, furniture, clothing, and school supplies. Utility bills and rent have been paid for. During the holidays, clients are provided with gift certificates and welcome baskets which include personal hygiene products and cleaning products which clients can use when moving into their apartments.
What We Do
In order to provide for the clients, fundraising activities have been held. Past activities include Trash and Treasure sales, craft shows, Walk-a-Thons, No-Bake Sales, Dinner Theater, Chocolate Heart sales, etc. Recent activities include Win a Wine Cellar and Christmas in the Park!
